Mr. Sulaiman Zainul Abidin IAP

Sulaiman is the COO of YACL, managing both Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw Airports in Myanmar. Since assuming his role in late 2013, the two airports have undergone significant developments including the operationalization of T1 and T3, as well as hosting renowned events such as the 2013 SEA Games and 2014 ASEAN Summits. In 2016, Yangon Airport hit an annual high of 5.45M, with overall traffic enjoying a tremendous 16.7% growth. Today, 31 international airlines operate to 24 international destinations from Yangon. Highlights of Sulaiman’s career include delivering the Bronze Prize for HR Recognition by Airports Council International in 2015 as well as being shortlisted in the Top-5 of the Routes Marketing Award 2015 for airports in the 4-20M category. Being the first from Singapore to be accredited the International Airport Professional (IAP) in 2010, he previously served in Changi Airport. Sulaiman holds a MBA in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Michigan.
