Min Jeong Kim is the Head of UNESCO Office in Myanmar which provides technical expertise and support to the government of Myanmar in the fields of cultural and natural heritage, educational development and media development. She has previously worked in educational policy and planning, girls and women’s empowerment, social development as well as culture and development at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, UNESCO Beirut in Lebanon covering the Middle East and North Africa region and UNESCO Dar es Salaam in Tanzania covering the Indian Ocean Countries. She has also served as Policy Adviser to the UN Secretary-General’s Special Adviser on Post-2015 Development Planning and as the Head of the Secretariat of the UN Secretary- General’s Global Education First Initiative in New York.
